• How much does an anterior dental implant cost?

  • The cost of implant treatment varies depending on the implant system, surgical complexity, bone and gum condition, and the type of final restoration. Front tooth implants are often more technically demanding than posterior implants because both the surgery and prosthetic design must meet high aesthetic requirements. Additional procedures such as bone grafting or gum grafting may also be necessary in some cases.

• What is the treatment process for an anterior implant?

  • In a suitable immediate or early-loading case, the implant is placed and any necessary bone grafting is performed at the same appointment. A digital impression or scan is then taken, and a temporary tooth may be fabricated shortly afterward. After approximately 2–3 months of healing and osseointegration, the temporary restoration is replaced with the final crown.

• How long does anterior implant treatment take?

  • If bone quantity or quality is compromised or extensive bone grafting is required, treatment may take approximately 3–6 months or longer. When bone conditions and implant stability are favorable, a temporary crown may be placed early and replaced with the final restoration after approximately 2–3 months.

• Will I have a front tooth immediately after implant surgery?

  • In selected cases, a temporary front tooth can be provided on the day of surgery or within approximately one week using our one-day implant workflow. However, the implant is not yet fully integrated with the bone during this early phase, so heavy biting and normal chewing on the surgical site should be avoided until adequate healing has occurred.
    Not every patient is a candidate for immediate provisionalization, so careful diagnosis is necessary.

• What type of crown is used for a front tooth implant?

  • Because the front teeth are highly visible, both the implant connection and the final crown are designed with aesthetics in mind. In selected cases, titanium components may be anodized to reduce the visibility of the natural gray metallic color through the gum tissue.
    When the gums are very thin, connective tissue grafting (CTG) may be considered to improve soft-tissue thickness. Final crowns may include zirconia-based restorations with porcelain layering or individually stained and characterized zirconia, depending on the case.

• If I cannot receive a same-day temporary tooth, how is the missing front tooth replaced during healing?

  • Two common temporary options are available:
    1. Resin-bonded temporary tooth:
    A temporary resin tooth can be bonded or splinted to the neighboring teeth without loading the implant.
    2. Removable temporary partial denture (flipper):
    A lightweight removable temporary denture can be fabricated to replace the missing front tooth during the healing period.
