What Is an Underbite?
An underbite is a facial and skeletal condition in which the lower jaw is positioned relatively farther forward than the upper jaw. In orthodontics, this is generally classified as a Class III malocclusion.

During consultation, we clearly explain the advantages and limitations of both options so you can make an informed decision.

※ Because underbites are closely related to jaw growth, early evaluation during childhood or adolescence may be recommended in some cases.

TMJ Stabilization Appliance
When the position of the jaw joint contributes to an exaggerated underbite appearance, a stabilization appliance may be used to help identify a more stable centric relation (CR) position before or during orthodontic treatment.
