What Is Mandibular Retrognathia?
Mandibular retrognathia is essentially the opposite of mandibular prognathism. It occurs when the lower jaw is underdeveloped or positioned farther back relative to the upper jaw. As a result, the upper jaw may appear relatively prominent, and the condition is often accompanied by malocclusion of the front teeth.
